Personally, I think her track record now means that anything she says has little or no credibility.

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

How about “What is your current view of the situation regarding Bluebird K7 and for how long can we expect that view to be valid?”

Yes, I repeated information I had found - the part between the quotation marks.

Re: Timing - How were DMC's Runs in K7 Timed....?

I have read extensively about K7’s records, but have never seen any detailed description of the technicalities of timing of the runs. My (limited) understanding is that many of the runs were timed by a team from Longines, using their own product -the Chronocinegines. In the 1950s and 60s, this devic...

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

What I find more intriguing is how declining fish and chips and a natter with the BBP team and going for what's happening now can be construed as the trustees' meeting their obligation to act in the best interest of their charity. How does that work? Perhaps Fish & Chips is just too... common, ...

Fair to say that 'mumpsimus' is the same as Type III.
For the Badgers, Norwoods and Woodys of this world, I propose an extended class - Type III bis - which translates as double Type III ...

Re: Coniston Bye laws/Ruskin

But what was pretty much missed in all of this was that the LDNPA was leading the way, weighing up what people wanted and finding ways to deliver. They were professional about it. They likely didn't like us very much but that was set aside to get the job done and that's how it should be. Bill - you...

Re: Coniston Bye laws/Ruskin

Bill - you and I both know Novie and like you, I am utterly appalled by his treatment over the number plates. For more than 20 years, he has worked tremendously hard, with great dedication and complete honesty to restore K7 and honour the memory of Donald Campbell. He of all people did not deserve t...

Re: Happy Birthday, Donald!!

And that, folks, is the joke that Tonia assured me was Donald's favourite. :-) - I have never heard that before!! The story you relate with such obvious good memories underlines the need for the Bluebird Project and the Ruskin Museum to get round a table and resolve any differences. However, in the...
