The Hyd run up was still a success though, I was expecting a LOT more issues than we got in the end (given the sheer complexity of the widgets and various pipes and unions) Mind, given that the hose failure let go at 1600 psi, I was surprised how well contained the mess was... emptying around 5ltrs ...

Cool. Not a fan of the yank kit, cant beat British stuff :)


My youngest wants to get / build a 3d printer so I will be looking about shortly for a decent kit !

Wouldn’t put five in, more you add the more weight you add, just needs a high KV motor and correct pitch prop. No good spinning the shaft around d if the pitch is wrong you just cavitate and lose the thrust you want. As for batteries, some nice high discharge saddle packs would be the way to go, tur...

Wouldn’t bother with turbine or EDF given its weight... if you go with a high KV brushless motor with a steep pitch prop it should go.
