Re: Pic of the Day

Just noticed on today’s pic, the nuts holding the fire wire sensor to the mounting bracket are all perfectly aligned.
I do love a blatant display of OCD in a morning.
Well done team :ugeek:

Re: Bluebird Project You Tube Channel & Vimeo

Nice one Mike, I really enjoyed watching that. The progress is fantastic, I especially liked the shots of the rivets going into the transom & the working water brake after all that pain.
Well done team!!!!

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

I’ve not heard anything about them either Al, for that sort of money it would make a cracking retirement present to myself in a few years time. The turbine I had been looking at was considerably more expensive 👍

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

We’ve only just got gas lights around here, a fab lab sounds brilliant, guess I can dream.
I’m still trying to battle my way through the schoolboy errors, every days a school day.

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

Hehe, I’m a way off that yet, I was going to go down the fibreglass route for the whole body, but I’ve decided to only do the bottom half in fibreglass & make the rest from plasticard & 3D printed parts. I’m busy trying to teach myself Fusion 360 CAD & how to manipulate plasticard. Here’s some of th...

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

That’s certainly the cheaper option at first Richie. My 1/4 scale version has bags of room inside for 2 or even 3 props, motors, batteries & ESC’s required. If after all that it was still struggling to hit scale speed there is always the option to install motors & props in the sponsons as they have ...

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

Definitely a good find!!! I would have gone for it if I’d known it was that size, the one I’m working on iirc is 1850mm long and should be if the plans are to be believed 1/4ish. Is there anything inside it? Also, can we have a pic from the front please, as it’s the tradition in here to say the inta...
