No need to apologise to us, Bill.
You did all you could to bring Bluebird back to Bute.
You can be sure of a warm welcome if and when you and the team do return.

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row
What a kick in the teeth for you and the whole team, Bill.
IMO Coniston doesn't deserve BBP or K7.
You would be welcome back on Bute anytime ... if legally possible.
Hope everything works out for you.

Re: Isle of Bute
Bill,
Delighted you are considering bringing Bluebird back to Bute.
If you could persuade H & co. to make an appearance that really would be Out of this World!

Re: A '60s hydrofoil on eBay!
As a fairly OT link to recent activity, there used to be a hovercraft on Bute back in the 1960s offering pleasure trips to sightseers. I remember because I went on one! Iirc it was an SRN5 which left from the beach near Rothesay Pavilion and landed ashore in the middle of nowhere -I suspect at Ardy...

Re: Bute - 30 days on (and counting)
A huge "thank you" to team Bluebird for bringing K7 to our beautiful island. I am not a native Brandane but have lived here for well over 30 years and I am sure quite a few here would agree we sometimes take the local scenery for granted. The island always looks good on TV, but the coverag...

Re: Isle of Bute
Just watched the Sky News film - superb! The team came across really well on camera - great to hear all the comments. K7 star of the show, of course - that drone film of her coming back up the Fad at speed is absolutely stunning! Congratulations to all involved. (P.S. Thanks for the polo Mike ;) ) D...

Re: Coniston - Spiritual Home?
Hear hear! I was there at the relaunch and the emotion was tangible. This island was buzzing for a fortnight at a time we really needed some cheering up. I'm sure the people here would be happy to make Bluebird and the team honorary Brandanes (if such a title existed). You will be welcome back here ...
