Re: Opinion Poll- Rebuild or Conserve?

I don't post very often but I thought I would now. This debate on Rebuild or Conserve, on an item that might or might not be where Donald left it is an easy one for me. I have always been a supporter of restoration but, if there 'is' a chance that the lever was where the great man had put it, then i...

That Big Yellow Ring Thing?

Model-Maker, I haven't been posting much, but something that has been on my mind is, What is that yellow ring around the middle of K7's frame? Is it a rollover type thing, 'SHE' (K7) has been seen in some very strange angles, was it specially designed by someone? I haven't seen any meantion of it in...

Re: Mail on Sunday

Ther is another comment in the Daily Mail today, Monday May 25th "There's something gloriously English, ie batty, about rebuilding Donald Campbell's record-breaking speedboat Bluebird K7 which broke up at 300mph and killed him on Coniston Water 34 years ago. His daughter, Gina, has been given permis...

Re: New Members

Hi MM, Thanks for your kind words about "Rainbow", it really was a pleasure to write, but no I'm afraid I'm not going to write a sequal as it were. But the wife (commonly known as) "er-in-doors", keeps threatening to write one herself! Regards, Fred Fred, You have me intrigued now, what could "er-i...

Re: New Members

Fantastic news folks, can't wait to see her back on the water as she should be. I hope to be there when she comes back.

Just finished "Rainbow Coloured", Fred's book on K7. Can we look forward to a similar work of art on CN7 sometime please?

Well done again to all of the team.

Re: Forum Suggestion

Bill,
As I am still working and need to book holiday time-off, have you any idea how much notice we will get, for when 'SHE' will be heading back to Coniston?

Obviously we will all need to get accomodation booked, and can you also give us an idea of how long you expect to be at Coniston?

Re: Forum Suggestion

My 3rd post,

Perhaps it would be a good idea to list all those who have worked on K7, since she was brought back into our world again, after so long down in the depths of Coniston Water.

Can someone start one please, so that us new boys can get to know them all.
