There must be some good one's around and I for one would be proud to display them on my wall.

A great idea. I too would be a customer. :)

Re: Shop - Suggested new line

Just to be a bit of an insufferable geek-a lot of K7 is actually made of Birmabrite which is not strictly aluminium as such-don't know the composition of it but it's basically Landrover skin-and THEY corrode like stink!-well the newer ones at any rate-partly because the outer skins are "clench...

Let's try again. The ... Galvanic Action table I wanted to send. A jpeg of the table. Got there at the 3rd attempt! :P I have a suggestion for the board administrator. Specify the maximum size of file on the upload page. Dimensionally and bit size! I can then retain what hair I have left!! :l...

Re: Shop - Suggested new line

I forgot about the plumbing bits - the fire suppression system was plumbed in with half-inch copper pipe and compression fittings. They threaded it right down the left-hand side of the frame just to be sure that the dissimilar metal rot got EVERY bulkhead where the copper passed through. No conside...

Re: Shop - Suggested new line

Following on here, Mike

. . And I can rattle around my stored goodies in the garage for old paint and fillers, some plumbing bits if you want. Or can I send up a couple of whitworth spanners? . . . . ;) ;)

I never thought the modelling thread would catch on!

Bill Smith talked about the life of Carl Spencer on Radio 4 on Friday, 29th June. You can listen to the tribute via the BBC Radio 4 web site. The programme is Last Word and went out at 16.00 hours. Bill's discussion starts about 7½ minutes into the broadcast. I found the programme most respectful an...

Re: Shop - Suggested new line

Chris,

Many thanks for the information about K7 and Jetex.

In connection with Jetex, my brother and I were given a model each. Mine was a rocket, and my brother's a streamlined racing car. The car reached a scale speed in excess of 400mph! Hence my train of thought re a working Bluebird model.

Shop - Suggested new line

Is there any chance of getting a model kit of Bluebird on sale? A plastic or a balsa and tissue paper type of kit is the obvious idea. Plastic would be expensive in tooling up the moulds etc. The balsa and tissue would be much more economical to produce, and great to build. Preferably plans for engi...
