Re: Technical Talk

I have a note in my files that 'blacklead' was used to reduce friction on some record breakers, unfortunately the note doesn't name which boats.

Re: What have forum members been up to?

Bill, I remember an air cylinder being taken to the local fire brigade for charging. I remember there being problems of some kind with it being done. If it wasn't for DC any idea what it was for ?
Or was it just not fitted for the latter runs ?

Re: 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea - The Diving Thread

Lotte Hass.jpg I was very sorry to hear of the death of the 'first lady of diving' this week a certain Lotte Hass. Her and her husband Hans used to have a dive programme on TV before Jacques Cousteau, I think it was called 'the Undersea world with Hans and Lotte Hass. I gave me a want to learn to d...

Best of luck for your testing Dave I hope all goes well for you !

Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!

I've just heard a rumour that there is a WWSR boat in Australia that is nearly built that is up for sale. I know it's not the the Warby boat so could it be the Colin Johns boat ? Can anyone shed light on this or is it just rumour?

Re: Can anyone Identify this part please ?

Mike, Can you say how big the piece of the nose that is missing. if there is anything left of the nose and if / how the badge was removed. The questions are because I know a diver who went onto BB with the express intention of removing certain items, one of which was the nose badge. The other wasn't...

Re: Pic of the Day

Mike, you're too close to it ! What everyone sees is a very crumpled boat that's been resurrected and very very close to being complete and ready to run again, something that everyone wants to see with a passion ! The Politicians have done everything to remove pride in our country and will continue ...

Re: Pic of the Day

One Fantastic Pic of the day !.
It is a credit to the BBP how you've got it to this stage , Well Done ! !
I like the 'addition' to the tail fin though, the camera angle and the shutters makes it look like you've added a horizontal fin ala SOA to it.
