But has he been for a packet of buff sparks yet?

Re: BBP Diary

Another great diary, Bill. Many thanks. Nailing that transom on for good must have been a real morale booster, and those fore(deck)skins are a real work of art. How any museum, having seen the quality of workmanship and sheer integrity going in to the rebuild, could be so narrow-minded or tight-fist...

Re: What did you do at the weekend?

Pilgrimage to Coniston including a trip on the Gondola, a visit to the Ruskin (hard to believe that immaculate fuel pump was on the bottom of the lake for so long) and several pints of Coniston Bluebird Ale seen off in honour of DMC....

Fairey Barracuda II 15/5/45 crashed between HW & LW 100 yds from the bathing pool as St. Monance. Position no...

Re: 'End Of Project...'

And there is at least one in the Forth not far off the old RNAS airfield at Crail. Will make some enquiries, but it is probably buried under a small hill of nets.

Re: Pic of the Day

Brilliant reconstruction of the foredeck skins in today's POTD, guys. Looking forward to seeing pics of the finished article. But if these are skins that form the foredeck, does that make them the fore..... oh, never mind!

Re: Bluebird Calendar

First post, so here goes! Re the Bluebird pennies idea, I have a bucket - yes, a bucket - full of pre-decimal coins in my garage. Found them when we cleared out the wife's uncle's house a few years ago. Any use? It would be great to see them benefiting the project. Really great to see all the progre...
