Re: 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea - The Diving Thread

Twin 10’s so it’s not much different to a single 15, still it’s a cumbersome lump out of the water....in the water it’s fantastic, going back plate and wing was deffo a good move for me personally !

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

Brian posted some cracking online footage of your Crusader model running Ernie, looks like she is in good hands with Rich Marsh.

She don’t half have a big turning circle though which made me ask the question how prone was the model to want to tip / roll over ?

Fantastic work once again though !!!

Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!

The tool !! Aye probably... I remember the trim on it was wicked quick, old man used to explain how they would have the boat pretty much riding on its prop then they would come to turn, hit the trim which would dump the bow in causing the boat to hook around the mark, then back on with the trim... t...

Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!

Not sure if this is really in the right forum, but anyway thought I would post up some recently found images of my dad racing powerboats back in the day, been wittering on about it at the workshop quite a bit as we dabble with support boats et al... Anyway, here it is, from memory I think the hull w...

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

The model is considered the benchmark Ernie, I think that goes a little further than “Ok” ! I am busy looking at 1:200 Trumpeter made kits presently.... can easily spend money you don’t have on those kits ! Bismarck and Hood are particularly nice. Check this out though, it may appeal to you (you wil...
