Re: 'Bluebird- The Spirit Reborn' Documentary Transmission I

What an utterly marvellous piece of programming. The programme has made the project "Real" to those of us who only sit behind a computer monitor looking into a world many miles away from our own and has shone a bright light upon the extreme dedication you have and continue to show to the rebuild and...

Re: Pic of the Day

Cheers for that.

Out of interest, what type of paint will be used ? Aero paint or ship paint (correct term?) :?:

I'm interested in the blue, as I would like my current "project" painted bluebird blue. Oh well, it'll wait.

Re: Pic of the Day

Ok, hands up, I did not intend to open a can of worms regarding "bluebird blue.

However, the POTD certainly does make you think....

Re: Pic of the Day

Steve, Firstly, yes, K7 has come a long way from how she was found, PIC OF THE DAY enforces that through regular (or irregular) visual documentation of the work being carried out. The rebuild has been so well documented, as you so rightly say, what is to stop the bluebird team putting together an al...

Re: Pic of the Day

Given the previous experiences with other K7 componants / body parts / panels, is that really something that's likely to happen ? I'm sure Holker hall would be keen to retain that "piece of history" regardless of the fact it could be re-incorporated into the craft.... but then, thats just a personal...

Re: Dead Metal

Good Gracious...I thought I would get chastised for de-railing this thread with my little sojourn about Mallard. How wrong could I be ? It does prove though, that the emotions so evident in certain people go at least part way to proving that some "exhibits" should be used, regardless of it is only f...

Re: Dead Metal

Regarding 'dead' exhibits - I feel the same way whenever I see Mallard * at York Railway Museum. I always imagine someone slipping in there in the wee small hours armed with a bag of Coalite, some firelighters and a tin of WD40.. * Odd, Duck-based name for record-busting streamlined Leviathan thoug...

Re: Recent Spamming Of Forum

I know many people ARE bothered by such posts as the one i read on here recently (totally off subject and absolutely adult in it's content), but i understand that it is a hazzard of any website or forum on the internet today, therefore, i just ignore such posts and move straight onto the interesting...
