Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

To the next step. Well said Richie. Lets see if we can move forward without all of these pointless arguments and get our boat to the point of where she should be. This will only be achieved by the hard work of the team and support of the public. Let us do our bit and leave the politics to those who ...

Re: Return to the Water

I don't usually get involved with the politics and bull that has been thrown at us since I joined BBP in 2005 but I do take in and remember most of the crap that we have had to go through. First the hapless loony fund put us on hold for over a year. Then museioligists were telling us that it must be...

Re: Technical Talk

Talking about hours put in i have done a couple myself. I think it was about this time of year 2005 when i first wandered into the workshop and due to having the right size spanner for the auxilary fuel tank was told i could come back. Seen a lot of team members come and go over the years. Seem to h...

Re: What have forum members been up to?

Rare occasion when Gill and I had same weekend off so decided to have a trip out with friends. Coniston seemed to be the prefered choice. What the hell, I hadn't been for at least a fortnight. We had a very rare weekend of glorious sunshine. June took the pressure off our friend Novie a bit by givin...

Re: The Barracuda Project

So i suppose the best next step was to find someone who could do a prfessional job for very little expense. If it were me getting a job like this done to a very high standard for next to nowt i would think all of my birthdays had come at once, we would also have sorted the very expensive botch job o...

Re: The Barracuda Project

Unlike Mike i was the other way, more Barra than Bluebird. Nearly choked on me tea when i found out not only were FAAM taking the plane back but wanted us to pack it neatly onto pallets ready for them coming to pick it up. Bit like helping the ballifs carry your furniture to the van when they reposs...
