Antiques Roadshow/Cockpit Discussion
Saw a bit of tonight's Antiques Roadshow from Brooklands. One of the people interviewed was Don Wales, who had a collection of paintings and a model of the 1935 (correct date I hope) car that Sir Malcolm Campbell drove.

Anthony Hopkins certainly looked the part. From what I have seen of Across the Lake, I think he's got Donald's mannerism down perfectly.

Wonder what the inhabitants of Coniston must have thought at the time the film was being made, and having Bluebird K7 - at least the replica of her - on the surface of Coniston. It must have brought back a lot of memories to when Donald Campbell and his father were setting records.
