Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!

You beat me to it Mike! Yes, the Speed Record Club has a new website which can be regarded as a work in progress for a while yet and I'm sure the webmaster will be including a listing for the BBP when the Links page is fully developed. For those not familiar with the SRC the Club has been around for...

The Speed Record Club made it's annual pilgrimage to Coniston for the weekend to mark the 48th anniversary of Donald's accident and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the double. The Club was also joined by Thrust 2 designer John Ackroyd who updated members on Rosco McGlashan's progress with Aussi...

Re: 60th Anniversary of Bluebird's Unveiling

Pic of the handing over ceremony from an earlier BBP diary piece proves the point. BB.1954.jpg The tree planting and plaques were arranged by Campbell enthusiast Steve Whalley and largely at his own expense. Sunday was chosen to allow as many as possible to attend, there is to be another event on We...

Re: 60th Anniversary of Bluebird's Unveiling

I understand the plaques were only collected on the day, the year, which should of course be 1954, will be corrected in due course!

Re: The Bloodhound SSC/Thrust/Noble Thread

Yesterday, 4th October 2014, was the 31st anniversary of Richard's record with Thrust 2, how appropriate that he spent the day at Bristol hosting the latest Open Day for the Bloodhound SSC project with so many die hard supporters of his place in LSR history! Facebook users can check out the latest B...
