Re: What have forum members been up to?
I think you clawed back a fair bit of credibility by not spanking your TVR when it decided to turn into a snow globe at *cough* 70mph *cough*

Re: joke of the day
A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables when a voice in the dark said, 'Jesus knows you're here.' He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze. When he heard nothing more, he shook his head and continued. Just as he pu...

You can thank Mike for that one. I don't know where he finds the time, atop his Anal Widgetry duties and that troublesome little interference called 'Work', to scour the t'interwebs for things like that but he always seems to fit in somewhere.

Re: Pic of the Day
I too am loving the 'retro' pics every bit as much as the 'progress' ones - It really is too easy to forget, when looking at the old girl as she is now, just how far things have come and just how much work it's involved. One additional impact the RPotD has had on me, however, is to bring back to min...

Re: Bluebird Archive Photos & Films
Looks like they had a serious raid of the Pathe archive! I think I've got virtually all of the Campbell/Cobb/Thomas footage they used, from a similar raid I undertook many years ago during an extremely quiet & boring afternoon at work.

Re: The Vulcan XH558 & General Aviation Thread
I thought all Merlins turn in the same direction - and Griffons go the other way - anyone know why that should be? They do: The starboard lump had an extra cog in the reduction gear to reverse the rotation. There's a project on the go to gather as many surviving Hornet parts as possible and put tog...
