Re: Bye Law Amendment for K7

The Parish Council meeting was one of the best attended for some time. The meeting was addressed by the co-ordinator from the LDNPA, who outlined the request from the BBP and tha manner of the consultation. Including how those not on the internet can complete the questionnaire. Questions were raised...

Re: Bye Law Amendment for K7

The LDNPA have appreciated the way we have dealt with this matter. Thanks for the honesty too. Now we know they are 'looking in' we must praise the LDNPA publicly for going to consultation on the bye law rather than standing back from the subject in the first place and leaving them alone. If you hav...

Re: Bye Law Amendment for K7

Much like pyramid selling it does not take too many levels of passing the 'message' before all who will be positive to the proposal will be contacted. Well done to all who are spreading the details. We will need to have as many supporters by March 31st. as we can muster. Someone has posted in the fo...

Re: Bye Law Amendment for K7

The BBP choice was to go for the bye law change, rather than attempt to influence the RYA & UIM that there were sound reasons for creating a National or International record category for 40 year old jet hydroplanes. My guess is that the RYA would have to protect themselves in this modern era. So...

Re: Bye Law Amendment for K7

Spreading the word throughout this Country and even wider will have an impact on the LDNP. The area is of National and International interest (as is K7). The public meeting appears to be intended to allow those attending (from the locality and further away) to learn more about the need for a bye law...

Re: Active support at Coniston 2010

I might start to sound like Novie ........... but Donald said during the '66 campaign that "..... record breaking is not a form of public entertainment" (or similar such sentiment). They did not need PA systems as they did not want to go public. So long as we do not run an 'airshow' when a...

Re: Active support at Coniston 2010

Certainly we must find a way to inform without disturbing those in the area who might take no interst in Bluebird and want the peace of the Cumbrian Lakes. Perhaps some form of radio broadcast to these "iPOD things" might be another way. If we cannot find some method for the punters to pay...

Re: Active support at Coniston 2010

Bill is correct - a list will be prepared by me and my operations team colleagues (mainly because I am too old to remember things unless they are written down) and those who have offered will be contacted. Inspite of many saying "I am just a (fill in the gap with your day job) ................,...
