There's a John in there.... The comfort factor on the rivet front has risen ten fold, plus the additional craic from the other current unit residents is top notch too

You mean the cursing, swearing and clashing of tools trying to make those three stupid egg boxes fit at the pointy end of sponson two?

Pah, Lefty may have wriggled a bit at the weekend- partly down to me having marked a couple of bits out while half delirious with a head cold and partly down to the things just being gits generally- but it's still nothing compared to the Everest-ascent learning curve we had when we laboured for weeks on Righty, and we still pretty much built a sponson in a couple of days. Nearly there now!

Plus of course now we have a set of speakers in the sponson building shop thanks to Roberto, so we can drown out those damn annoying riveters... ;)

Yeah - that's the number of pieces that Ken wanted each sponson made from! :D

Keeping that good old Victorian principle of 'Belt & Braces' alive! :D That looks like some hefty old stuff that the outers are made of, which makes sense considering they're not a superficial skin tacked around a steel frame, as suggested in all of the published cut-away drawings. It's no wonder they survived virtually unscathed.
