I was told that Dunhills couldn't bring the lighter back to working order because some of its internals had corroded and expanded the case. Bit of a shame really.

What a pity-unusual for Dunhills to be that beyond redemption even after all that time submerged-still-just means that the last guy to light his ciggie from it was DC-quite poignant really-if you want a "doppelganger" to display just ask-I got a few spare ones!-
Ps the website don't allow the british colloqualism for cigarette to be used!-ie "phag "(misspelled) how PC!

Five and threpence is equivelent of 26p these days. Would have got him four pints back then as it was about one and threpence a pint. 4 pints for 26p and change back, oh happy days.

Unfortunately, when our esteemed colleague there goes to get a round in these days, he's still only got 26p...

I reckon he should give us that five and thruppence back. We're fixing his boat after he bent it, buying us a beer is the least he could do!

Could somebody enlighten me?

Is that the 'Ghoul of Coniston' working on BB?

Perhaps the Moderator should intervene as I find it particularly frightening ---------!

Someone said, try to look thoughtful, when that floor was tried in place for the first time but the only thought that sprang to mind was that after weeks of mending it didn't fit. Thankfully it fits now.
