Did you see the episode of Wheeler Dealers where Edd China was trimming a new canopy for a bubble car and cracked it so had to buy another one? An expensive mistake indeed!
That was exactly what I was thinking of!

Ah, you see, l took the precaution of taking some lessons at the plastics factory, borrowing their tools and practicing on some scrap before going near the real deal. Remember the seven Ps

That'll be the place - where K7 was re-engined and prepped for the 66/67 attempt. Lots of pic's from there/then in which she looks very like she does now.

Still lots to do but thankfully not much more on the boat. Lots of tools and equipment, spares, fluids, transport, etc. to organise but we more or less have a machine that's good to go. She's a hell of a long way from anything you could call finished and put on display but she'll do for a good shakedown and, as the object of the exercise is crew training this trip, we're going to get a good shakedown too!

Wish I could be there in Bute to observe and offer any assistance required . You guys deserve medals and more for what you have accomplished.
Please make sure the bilge pumps work first thing when she hits the water .

Terrific POTD today!

Somehow looks twice as good in the sunshine. The best shot yet.

Every good fortune with the Bute exercise.

I can see the refuelling of the craft will be purely land based, judging by the picture today of Mike and John. Following the lead of DMC, Ted or Stew will not stop to take on fuel after the first pass over Loch Fad.
