Checked the movie - can't believe how truly dreadful it was and I had fond memories of it too. Airfix models and exploding lighter fluid all over the place. Please!

I've always thought that '633' was one of those films where you remember it as being better than it really was- helped of course by the magnificent main score. There is some good footage of Mossies in it though.

Ahh Bill-remember though-you cant weld or rivet balsa wood!- Goof on 633 squadron-anyone notice the series one Landrover in the film supposedly dated about 4 or 5 years before they were invented? :ugeek:

Nah, that lot would've issued the same fanciful spec to a dozen equally able firms to squabble over, funded the lot 'til they had half a dozen prototypes then cancelled the lot when the thing wasn't going to work when it was ready in ten years time for twenty times the budget allocated. Wasn't that the way of things back then?
