Isn't that the workshop bog?
No, you're thinking of the one you share with Al upstairs.

You know fine well that the workshop facilities have been cleaned by my lass, and thus should be good for another year!
Hmmm, that theory only stands up if Ted and Novie stay out of it.

Dominic Owen wrote:Have you come across a genteel little German group called Rammstein? They specialise in relaxing melodic rock ballads. Well worth a listen. :D
'Industrial metal' is the genre.
Saw them in Manchester a few years ago, all angle grinders and flamethrowers (supported by Apocalyptica, heavy rock/metal played on cellos). fantastic!
I like most things played on 'Planet Rock', i.e. Classic Rock.
With a smattering of battle metal & folk metal thrown in for good measure (i can thank my sons for introducing such delicacies!)
Talking of folk, you can't beat The Unthanks with the Brighouse and Rastrick brass band performing 'The king of rome',
goosepimples galore!

Had a listen to the Unthanks but it didn't really seem to get going. For a great folksy piece, try this for size.

My sister has very kindly bought me this for Christmas. Those guys sounded superb and Robert Plant's voice has lost very little of its power.
Paul McCartney take note!

If Checkie's stuff is 'dad rock' then surely that must be 'granddad rock'?

Now then, don't pre-judge the age and merit of the fine compilation I have now assembled, especially for Workshop consumption :D

Checkie, I'm sure your compilation is tastefully arranged and measured to the taste of your workshop peers. I was merely poking good humoured fun at Jordan's Worsel Gummige bloke...
