That's a good shout, will have to investigate this young lady some more, i think.

What about 'Downtown' by petula clark,?
takes me right back to the 60's, 1964, the time of Dumbleyung, i believe,(didn't know at the time, i was only 4!),
or the version by the Sawdoctors' from last year.

If you're going to sell someone on that track, it has to be the S&M version;

I went to see Steve Vai during the week, then reported the amazing night back to Bill to which I got "Who is Steve Vai ?" glad I didnt bother getting a snap with him on his tour bus (in response to the you missed your favourite band Marillion torture) would not mind a bit Satriani and Vai in the workshop, but i reckon with the exception of Rob it wont bode well.... same with Vanhalen, Metallica, Pantera etc etc all great bands

Alas, the days of re-tuning the radio then superglueing or removing the controls are long gone. Could be time to put the ninja skills to use and start to sneak a few 'softer' tracks onto the workshop i-Spud - just make sure they're suitably labelled as "Hank Marvin" or some such and they should go un-noticed until it's too late. :D

Out of pure unashamed jealousy, I'm going to pretend I didn't see any hint that you were with Steve Vai on his tour bus...

Well, there's some Steve Vai and some Joe Satriani on the compilation I am bringing next time! Time to go Surfing with The Alien (Richie will understand:-))

Ok, so "heavy" metal is clearly out, but what about 'Traditional Metal', 'Alternative Metal', 'Thrash Metal', 'Cello Metal', 'Power Metal', 'Progressive Metal', 'Death Metal', 'Black Metal', 'Doom Metal', 'Grindcore Metal', 'Drone Metal', 'Sludge Metal', 'Gothic Metal', 'Folk Metal', 'Experimental Metal', 'Extreme Metal', 'Celtic Metal', 'Medieval Metal', 'Pagan Metal', 'Viking Metal', 'Symphonic Metal', 'Funk Metal', 'Glam Metal', 'Groove Metal', 'Industrial Metal', 'Rap Metal', 'Speed Metal', 'Nu Metal', 'Neo-classical Metal' or 'Metalcore'? :ugeek:
