There are two footballs on top of the engine, these are two high pressure spheres which contain onboard air to start the engine. At present we are using offboard air.

Thanks for the replies. The shop is out of stock, the bike shed don't answer the 'phone, any other ideas as to where I can buy two blue BBP caps?

We must surely have a couple of caps? There's one lying on my bedroom floor, for goodness sakes...
Pressure - it's more about volume but 1100psi in the 100 litre starting trolley is what we consider the minimum for a clean start. When I say clean, I mean within temp limits.

Two ordered just now, hope they're BLUE! There's no way to pick the colour, don't feel a pink one will suit.......
