Sorry guys, got myself a little emotional there. Been doing the press liaison thing for Carl's folks since May and cursing the bugger for not being here to look after it himself ever since. God knows, I miss him.

Thanks Neil, there's a lot of work in those diary pieces so it's always appreciated when they're appreciated - if you know what I mean.

Great to see the update, nice bit about the Dymo labels, their addition is probably just as important to the authenticity as any other piece, and from the original machine too!

Bill there is no little man with a high viz jacket at The Dudley site that i look after. Appart from me that is but i am long gone by the time the lights switch off. As a matter of fact i am long gone before the buggers come on.The truth is even dafter. I imagine all these places must be the same. Despite many complaints from the local residents about these lights shining into thier windows it is council policy for these power sucking lamps to be on a timed switch. 3 hours from 7.00pm till 10.00pm. In most cases all the ball chasers have had enough training by 8.00 and are in the pub but we have to allow 3 hours in case anyone else wants to kick a ball. As for the complaints i was sent up the towers in a cherry picker with a set of spanners to move the beam down a bit. Mind you it does allow the graffitti artists extra time to deface the skate board park next to it while taking thier drugs so not a total waste of power eh.

ps How did you manage to write that in the snow without coming in the gate?
