Don't know, it's our first time!
It would be fantastic, to get close to Bluebird in Bute and being shown around would be even better. But I and everyone else would not want to get in the way and hinder the teams progress with their training activities or compromise safety, which is after all the priority.

I will be in Bute from 11th to 17th my greatest wish is to see her back on the water!

A tour would be awesome. I'm used to getting up close but not getting in the way. Just hoping to get a close look without interferring in the workers way as it's a long way for me. Got to be done though.

Just to remind everyone that K7 will be on public display at the Bute Highland Games Event on the 11th August (that event is on the King George's Field),she will be moved away from Loch Fad. There you can see Bluebird K7 and Highland Dance and other National activities. (The 12th I am still awaiting details).

When beside the Loch the aim is to train the crew, pilots and operations team in how to operate the craft on land, into, on and out of the water. I am sure there will be 'down time' as Mike has described, when it should be possible to ensure the safety inside the roped perimeter to the enclosure.

I am told that Donald hated the commercialisation that took place in '55 at Ullswater when the Wakefield company made money from showing of K7 when she was on shore at the side of that lake. Loch Fad is an unfenced (for the most part) and an un-ticketed event - yes I was asked when tickets would go on sale earlier this month!

The Bluebird Project has always wanted to engage with all age ranges so making any charge on Bute would not sit well with that aspiration (after all it is during the school holidays). Instead, I feel sure the BBP will sell you (or ask you to order) merchandise, at the same time as finding a person to talk to small groups about the blue boat.

Just be patient and further details should be available by the time we reach the Isle of Bute.

Would be great to show people around all our hard work. If we can we will.
