Donald Campbell - Bluebird Record Breaker - from YouTube

I don't think there is anything 'new' here, but its a good summary video, IMO.

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

Old Cyklons... I have to admit to owning I think at least 3 Cyklons, maybe 4.....? Plus several 'spare' Cyklon 1st stages and 2nd stages. Used to 40 metres, in UK waters - no problem. I can do limited servicing myself - but I have always had a 'proper' service done every couple of years or three - ...

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

Lols.... I cannot compete with that....! I went to the same school as Martin - he was a couple of years below me, but I didn't know him. But I recognised him, when I visited Parker Hardware, which was where AP Valves was located. It was a Dive Shop above their family hardware shop, in Coventry. It w...

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

".... Tempt me far easier to the AP Valves website Inspiration Expo with ADV, CO2 monitor and scrubber life sensors, now you’re talking ! " Now you cannot beat a bit of 'Dive P*rn'....! And high end, at that. Yes, I recognise what you refer to. Long time AP Valves/ AP Diving user here - s...

Well said. I hope - that the RM will - at some point - see sense. I hope... But if not, carry on BBP.....!

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

We (The team) are not recognised by them or anyone else involved, unskilled volunteers, Untermensch... as we are not considered humans in the general sense of the word their gripe can only be with Bill ? Right. The BBP Team are Volunteers - yes. But Unskilled - ??? I would not agree there - at all ...

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

The RM have made it crystal clear that they will NEVER work with Bill ever again, they are resolute with this matter. So what is therefore suggested ? I would like to understand why the RM have said their will never work with Bill again. Is it that specific...? So they would work with the BBP, with...

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

Trying to take a broader view, of the whole current problem. Like any successful negotiation, there would need to be roughly equal 'wins' and 'losses' on both sides. Similar to buying a 2nd hand car - meeting somewhere in the middle. Gina would need to move toward the BBP, in some way - as would the...

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

The question I get asked most days is how did Gina get from lapping up the adulation on Bute and the 'she's too young to sit in a crusty old museum' thing to the 4th January 2020 suicide speech. That's one hell of a turnaround. Would be interesting to hear that one answered truthfully. IMO, its obv...

Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

The door is very much open. It's not open to, weigh over 20 years of your lives and go home empty handed, but if the phone rings tomorrow to say, hey guys we'd like to display the boat some of the time, how do we get started? we'd be quite happy to work out a plan with them. We're perfectly accepti...
