Re: Bute / Coniston Back to Back

Museum could make an absolute fortune from events like this. People watching the runs would want to visit the museum to see her displayed. They could set up a stall to sell their goods during the running exercises. I woldn't turn a chance like that down. Hope something happens soon though. I'm 66 an...

Re: Coniston Bye laws/Ruskin

I was being polite. Once the damage is done the best thing is to get shot of the (tea bag) and all the damage done and try to recover the situation by starting again. In the end you get a nice cup of tea and every one is happy.

Re: Coniston Bye laws/Ruskin

Cant argue with that Bill. On my first trip to Coniston Novie stopped his car and offered me a lift from the lake back to the village despite not knowing me from Adam and vice versa. Since then we have beacame great mates and a more loyal mate you could'n't wish for. Wouldn't treat my worst enemy li...

Re: The Vulcan XH558 & General Aviation Thread

I used to live a couple of mile from Usworth air field as it was known then and remember watching it fly in from the back garden. Point of no return when it landed as there wasn't enough room for it to ever take off again. sadly its lay dormant ever since. They used to charge 5p for people to go ins...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Thaks for the clarification Ernie. I dont suppose the silly folk on here would have made more of it if you had came out a bit sooner. Never mind its all crystal clear now. Maybe an appology for referring me to a juvenile noddy in toy town enthusiast who hasnt yet graduated from play school for askin...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

I personaly think Bill is big enough to fight his own battles, with or without our support,. I was asking you to clarify your statement as it seemed to be aimed at the team. So for the brain dead non physic, toy town addicts who dont have the intilect to work it out among us,would you be able to cla...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Just a point on the corroded jet engine in the museum. If memory serves me right the museum were quoted several thousand pounds for a display case. BBP thought it was a bit steep so we made them one free of charge. I remember Bill and i being in the workshop in the early hours of the delivery day to...
