Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Ernie, didn't you promise you would give us some good reasons why K7 should be locked away dead in the Ruskin museum and why this would be good for all the DC and K7 ethusiasts around the world? So far I don't see any argunents except: because 10+ years ago papers were signed that way. Were they rea...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

I ran on 8s of 5Ah 100C+ LiPo batteries, not on 2s. The fastest single pass so far was 206.15mph, hopefully more later this year. I will give only some short numbers here (wrong thread). PM or email me if you want to know more or discuss. The boat is about 1.25m long, weights about 3.8kg and burst p...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

The situation as it is today must not be allowed to continue month after month year after year. A resolution must be reached that satisfies those who originally contributed towards the project and the building of the Ruskin extension on the basis of the information offered at that time to attract t...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

I feel at times we all need to remember Donald Campbells words during a TV interview. I believe it went something like this, 'this is not put on for a public spectacle' His goals were for a much more admirable reason than that. Having been a follower of the Campbell story for 60 years, rather than ...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

We plan an outing to somewhere this year - way too many people clamouring to see K7 run to let them down - would you bring your high speed RC craft to to join us? If you'd like to see them, yes, me/we would bring it/them - and run them if possible. If the location and the dates are fixed maybe also...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

If it's Scotland, would it be Bute again or a longer lake? The good thing about Loch Fad on Bute is, that I'd think from water conditions it should be possible to run fast RC boats as support act and I'd think there is a chance to get permissions to do so, while I doubt this will be allowed on Conis...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

I don't understand why a group of people steps forward and anounces dates for the runs of K7 on Coniston Water when nothing seams to be clear, neither with those who will do the runs nor with those who need to give permissions. What's the purpose behind this? I don't get it. Anyway, I wish you all a...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

This museum row thing is like the 2 children pulling a teddy. *it mine !” ,”its mine” “ no its mine!” In the end all conflicts of the world, all wars ever held, can be broken down to that: 2 parties having different interests. To be "grown up" means to overcome this and to find a compromise. To me ...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

I have no other idea than to look for a mediator, someone who is respected from both sides, a person who gets heard and who might be able to enlighten some people. I can only speak for myself, but I would really like to see K7 beeing alive. There are some videos of Sir Malcoms earlier blue bird cars...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

I fear the other side thinks the blue pieces are 100% theirs, you and your team happily voluntueered to donate all your hard work and all the new parts. Now that you are finally done (gee, what took you so long?) you should step back and have them take the credit. I assume there is no written contra...
