There's two effects from the spinning engine. One is the precession of the rotatives such that a right hand input will cause the nose to rise and vice-versa. How do you make sure it goes in a straight line? Well, thats one of the more difficult questions. First the boat has a rudder just besides the prop, so this counterreacts the prop walk (mostly). Then the driveline is offset to the right to counterreact motor torque. In my case the torque was bigger...
