Ken and Lew actually advised Donald against pushing K7 to 300mph. They suggested he went ahead with a planned trip to Australia and they'd design him a new boat in the meantime. He didn't go for it.

Not surprising really. Coniston in December / January is bloody freezing in my experience!

I was told that Dunhills couldn't bring the lighter back to working order because some of its internals had corroded and expanded the case. Bit of a shame really.

Thanks for that - much appreciated. We also recovered his pocket change and his St Christopher keyring, which Gina gave to me and I wear it in a gold setting on a chain around my neck. It's a treasured posession.

My description said exactly the same as Mishcon's only more succinctly and I never had any time for people who try to bribe me. Do we consider that a one-off, snap decision or a slightly more sinister insight?
