Re: Bluebird K7, the "New" tail fin & Balance point query

And therein is my entire point about research.....................................

I actually sat and read the whole lot about the vehicles, and Campbell aswell. There are a fair number of ill researched errors to say the least. Should the campbells REALLy be sanctioning the site ???????

Re: Bluebird K7, the "New" tail fin & Balance point query

i was trying to be diplomatic about the "inaccuracies" !! How is the term goes ?? "full of holes" ? i would LOVE to know who does the writing. And i'm concerned that, with the inaccuracies, it's actually SANCTIONED by the Cambpells (so it sais on the home page anyways) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So which...

Re: Bluebird K7, the "New" tail fin & Balance point query

Now you REALLY have my attention !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! depending how far back you worked, i'd be interested to learn. I prefer the "pre aero dynamics" era, when men were men and the cars were a handful. no wings and no safety cells, just alloy, steel, engine, wheels, open cockpits, hands on gear shifting ...

Re: Bluebird K7, the "New" tail fin & Balance point query

Mosquito?-mmmm that's definitely one for the model makers in the project-Balsa's too hard to fold and weld!-although so saying I'm still current on Griffons and Merlins right enough! Worked on the Lanc in Canadian Warplane heritage 20 years ago and that was enough for me!-Bill will probably come up...

Re: Bluebird K7, the "New" tail fin & Balance point query

I wouldn't call you numpties, especially with the meaning I know for that term, but i can understand the workload part...............although that said, I unofficially "retired" when I was 19 (!!!!). Pic of the day is an EXCELLENT idea! and a "library" of previous "picture of the day" entries would ...

Re: Bluebird K7, the "New" tail fin & Balance point query

I understand what you are saying but no one, singular, act or fact can categorically define the final, fatal, incident. lets look at the facts. These are just "some" of the facts that I have managed to glean over the years. 1) Increased rear end weight (lead ingots) 2) Addition of a modified Gnat Ta...

Re: Pic of the Day

AMEN to the dishwasher trick, it does work well. Even on musical instruments. A sonic bath is sooo much easier to use though and you do not get the ear bashing form "er indoors" when they discover what your doing.

Re: Bluebird K7, the "New" tail fin & Balance point query

Hi guys, I'm sure that it may have been looked at but as to the ingots of lead, that merely goes to strengthen the query. so much lead up the A--e end with the engine, a lighter fore end and a tendency to raise the bows is unavoidable as far as I can tell. Balance is about the perfect distribution o...
