Re: Coniston Bye laws/Ruskin
Many people want to see K7 run on Coniston Water. I admit that would be cool but speaking only for myself here and not necessarily on behalf of other team members, it doesn't bother me one way or the other. Scotland is just as good. It's running the machine and working with the team that does it fo...

Coniston Water Byelaws "2019"
Keeping up to date with the Byelaws for the 'home water' of K7. The LDNPA have apparently submitted the proposed Coniston Water 2019 Byelaws to the Secretary of State for approval and comments. There is no indication (that I can find) as to when there may be a response from that person. There will b...

Re: Bluebird Runs 2019
K777 was an entrant in the organised Speed Records Week event, piloted by Jim Noone, to attempt jet powered speed records in a specific weight class. On the first visit the team based themselves at Pier Cottage. On both outings there were problems with getting the craft on the plane. Bluebird K7 no ...

It takes how long to assemble a blue boat?
You can now try to 'assemble' Bluebird K7, with Stew at the controls, in under 15 minutes.
On facebook go to the Speed Record Club site and find Easter Sunday's jigsaw puzzle. The picture is from Loch Fad 2018.

Re: BBP Diary
Good to read the diary pages in 2020. My first visit to the Isle of Bute was on the 8th January 2018, with a follow up in June. Today's diary piece has filled in all of the missing pieces of the transport journey from North Shields of K7. These were missing because at the start of August I was alrea...

Christmas 2019
Merry Christmas to the Team and the Bute Crew along with others who have been part of this project. [If you haven't looked at the Team 'tag' lately do so] from one member of 'Operations'. This is the first year that I have failed to get to the workshop for my usual one day! Have a good time with fam...

Re: Planning Time before the Proving Trial?
As the days rush towards the end of the year, I for one had hoped that there would be some positive news from Cumbria. Nothing has been published on the final version of the "updated and future proofed" Bye-Laws, which will need Secretary of State sign-off. It seems that the revisions to t...

Re: Planning Time before the Proving Trial?
Mid month update.
The LDNPA members on the Authority Committee will next meet in October, at which time there may be more news on the discussions on the proposed Bye Law updating for Coniston Water.
My diary says that there are 50 weeks until 'summer 2020'.

Re: Planning Time before the Proving Trial?
The NWEMail newspaper has run a recent story on Coniston Water Bye Law changes. The LDNPA are having to make changes because the RYA no longer governs powerboating and the National Water Speed Records. The Authority Members are being asked to accept and adopt 'future proofed' Bye Laws, which means t...

Re: Planning Time before the Proving Trial?
Even with those characters called "e m o j I s", that try to convey the context of comments and the emotion of a statement, what does upset me most is how the selective use of parts of comments made on forums, such as this one, are reproduced to convey 'the whole story'. Even publishing a ...
