An interesting thought about turning back time ................ lets just leave it as a thought, perhaps?

Re: Return to the Water

.... it would still be subject to interference from the Lackidasical bureaucrats. There is a 1978 Byelaw for Ullswater. Ten miles per hour powered craft speed limit. No indication of any 'exemptions'. Anyone want a four year project? Reminder for the non anoraks - the version of K7 being presented ...

Re: Return to the Water

An observer of the postings from the LDNPA and the responses from the BBP on social media described to me "how reasonable the LDNPA had been in their statement". I found this a little hard to believe so I looked again at what had been said and saw that I had not clearly rebutted the second...

I know the pantomime season is over, but I would say "Oh yes there are". To which others may then respond ......

Re: Return to the Water

Even today I would advise against flouting any Byelaw (or indeed English law). [From my earlier posting this was my view in 2006 when there was no applicable Byelaw, except the 10mph prohibition]. I agree that someone might decide personally to spoil any 'illegal' running and keeping such things qui...

Re: Warby's Spirit of Australia II

Is it only me who did the numbers? He's pushing 300kmh, which, in English is about 180mph on a stretch of water 1500m long, (English = a smoot under a mile). Now then, we have a mile and a half on Loch Fad. I see interesting possibilities. Only you Bill would put the numbers up for all to read! My ...

Re: Return to the Water

For those who did not follow the three day exchange of views on a facebook site hosted by a K7 historian, I have taken a moment to wonder why this phrase was used by the LDNPA? [I think their legal eagle had looked over every word being used.] "Bluebird K7 could be launched on Coniston now and ...

Re: Return to the Water

Had to look back in time to check a date and way back on this forum was the topic ' Byelaw Amendment for K7'. Even back then the BBP was not confident that we would be allowed to run K7 on Coniston Water ....... so there was chat of the Plan B for the Proving Trials (yes, plural was in use). I have ...
