Re: Coniston Bye laws/Ruskin

Sure, by reading here I can only listen to one side of the story and by meeting you guys on Bute I might also be a little biased towards the BBP as well, but really trying to be neutral I have very little understanding for what's going on the other side. And whenever people post here from that side...

Re: Coniston Bye laws/Ruskin

I don't understand why they can't simply give you the figures you're after. It'd save a lot of trouble, and would mean they would have K7 on display a lot quicker. They're rather quick to release documents when it suits them (The 2006 Deed of Gift for example), yet can't send you something which is ...

I Never would have believed it but we are were we are but there you go thats life :| Next time you're at BBP HQ I'll show you some things you really won't believe! But on a more encouraging note - it seems there's been some progress on the floor in the BB wing. http://www.ruskinmuseum.com/content/c...

Was copyrighted music used as a soundtrack? I've had videos blocked and the sound removed by Warners before. I presume that is who WMG is.

Re: Off the Rails - Train Stuff

I saw this today! 46100 "Royal Scot" just outside Lancaster. In the background is the Ashton memorial, seen by many thousands of people, when travelling North on the M6, not so far from the turn off for the Lake District! Very nice! I'm hoping to see a bit of mainline steam when I visit t...

Re: Off the Rails - Train Stuff

I was a bit worried the post would be a little long-winded. Glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoyed that read, surprised myself there, and l love the steam stuff pics an especially the stories of those great machines cheating the scrap man and all the work of volunteers. Wonder if we could squeeze a ...

Re: Off the Rails - Train Stuff

How about a few pics of steam at night? Here is a photo of D3 639 being stabled at Maldon loco depot, after running a friend's wedding charter. The fire has just been dumped, and the glowing coals can be seen underneath. The loco will soon pull forward over the pit to be parked up for the night. 24/...

Having a bit of trouble making the post. Is there a word limit of something for this forum? I keep getting an error notification.

Cheers, Bill. I'll post a few more soon.
