Re: Queen & Ace of Spades

Awww, they're all laughing at you, Fred. Welcome to my world... I was once introduced to an old-timer who was allegedly involved in the same card game but it was at the funeral so my civic duty as box-carrier got in the way of questioning said individual. Seems to have a grain of truth but then if y...

Re: K7's Wheeled Cradle

There was a bloke from Cornwall who popped up way back when who claimed to have the original cradle, or rather, it was lying in the yard of a lady-friend of his whose husband had recently died. The husband and the mystery caller had, apparently, visited Coniston several times whilst returning from s...

Re: Why do we do it?

Thank you for your kind words and indeed it's been an absolute pleasure working with your good self. Why do we do it? God knows... could be because it's the best fun in the world and totally satisfying. I'd beware of offering to buy the first round though, there'll probably be a hundred of us by then.

Re: Website Link-Backs

We looked at the 'sponsor a component' idea some time ago but as suggested it falls to the time and effort needed to manage it. I've lost count of the times a good idea has been pitched our way but when you ask its originator to volunteer the hours to manage it on our behalf it usually goes quietly ...

Re: Bluebird K7, the "New" tail fin & Balance point query

Have I got to start bringing in salad bowls for tea break time instead then?! :o Certainly wouldn't do you any harm... Coming from the guy who was told to "lose the knife and fork"? I'd forgotten about that. Said by Dr John King at number 100 Harley Street when I got my diving medical for...

Despite physical appearances, Bill is just one man you know! Not for long - took the baby to the doctor's yesterday. Nothing wrong with her but I blagged a go on the blood pressure machine while I was there and it appears those numpties are taking their toll! Time to stop the biscuits, methin...
