Re: Queen & Ace of Spades
I should be nice to Fred anyway - he has promised me signed copy #1 of the outstanding Three Cheers print....which I think makes me very lucky

Re: Why do we do it?
I have only just started contributing (in a very minor way!) to the Project, but would like to echo all of the above comments. I only visit the workshop once a month, but really look forward to it, p#ss taking and all! I learn something new each time I visit and watching K7 come together again is ju...

Re: Donald Campbell Photos
These are great period photos and very interesting. My guess is that it may have been related to production of Donald leisure boat "Jetstar", a project he was working on quite intensively right up to his death in 1967. This was a small speedboat with inboard engine and driven by a steered ...

Also, you can see just ho...

Re: So, what did Bluebird sound like?
Static Tests of K7 in 1966/7: There is some coverage of static engine testing in the "Price of a Record" documentary film by John Pett. There is no sound of surging, but it's not clear whether the tests are pre or post intake re-build. Where might one get a copy of this (video, I presume?...

Re: So, what did Bluebird sound like?
Have never seen 'Price of a Record', am I missing something good? Mike - I was given a VHS copy of the original many years ago and it started to deteriorate, so I copied it to DVD and made a backup. I will bring the backup to the workshop when I visit on Saturday. You are welcome to borrow this and...

Re: So, what did Bluebird sound like?
Keith -regarding the noise associated with surging - to the best of my recollection I heard no such noise.
