What a stirring sight that would be with you in a flowery hat, some jangly things strapped to your legs then hitting people with bits of wood.
I was thinking more welding screen, glittery swarf and hammers. It'd be hilarious.

All we need is six members of the BBP to form a Morris 'side' and some music - although that is not so important.

If the BBP members can master the 'stepping' before this gathering that would be an advantage. The step can start on either foot - it does help to know right from left - so all do the same thing. A right foot lead would be a sequence of "right, left, right, hop (on right), left, right, left, hop (on left)" which then gets repeated. The steps of course carry the dancers (I use the word loosely for the time being) forwards and backwards, (it is quite difficult to do on the spot). If it helps count 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, in your head .....

If hammers replace sticks there had better be some safety helmets available for protection.

Of course, instead of a you tube film this could be the least productive day in the workshop for some time

I tried to persuade the guys that a spot of morris dancing would be a laugh tonight but I may as well have tried to talk them into having a rectal exam by Edward Scissorhands. No sense of fun!

Pity, that - I'd gladly have played the accordion for your attempt...

That could have been written by Jordan only last year but he was cold, wet and fed up at work today and was looking forward to getting home to watch Strictly.
I thought it was great except for the hairy bicyclist who seems to have a different skeleton to normal humans and always looks so wounded when the judges tell him he's crap. He mustn't have any means of playing it back.
Abby was great, Natalie is just too good and will go out in the semis just as Jason Donovan did for the same reason. Patrick can win this - my money is on him.

Disgraceful - at least John Sergeant had the dignity to remove himself, let's hope the bicyclist has similarly high morals should he survive another week.

John Sergeant withdrew after the week 9 show, we're only at week 6/7

He's almost off his med's so he's grumpy again. I didn't quite get the Charleston either though I did like the modern twist on it and Artem is magnificent. Kevin from Grimsby was brilliant too. Really enjoyed the show and Brucie was great!

Why didn't Susanna get a full 40? My seveeen-year old son was distraught! Couldn't agree more about Natalie's Charleston - I think she got sympathy marking after last week's fainting fits...it was good but not as good as Sophie's earlier on in the series...(exits left to howl at the moon)
