I've not really given too much thought to petitions before but here we are with the thick end of a thousand people who have given a few minutes of their lives to express support and it's humbling so thanks for setting the wheels in motion and to everyone who has signed.

Can't help but wonder how we'd feel and what we'd do if the shoe was on the other foot and the petition read,

'put the boat in the museum and lock the doors behind her for all time'.

We'd have no choice but to to listen to those thousand people and conclude that if one took the time to sit and sign a petition - and a minute in today's frantic and instant world is an age - then there must be a thousand more behind each and every one of them who would do likewise if they only had the time and motivation.

So what do you do if you've made it your mission to frustrate at every turn an altruistic effort on the part of volunteers to educate, inspire and entertain a wanting public and suddenly a thousand people are in your face saying, sort yourselves out, we want to see this?

Personally, I would die of shame and throw up my hands in defeat.

Have you read the comments in the petition, Bill?
Quite a lot of people have written their opinion down to go with their virtual signature. Terrific support for the BBP.

Did you every manage to recover the canopy from the Loch?

The centre section of the canopy was recovered by the safety boat however the latch and rollers remain elusive even after another session of divers and the deployment of the side scan sonar. They are still in there somewhere....

Good morning everyone and I know I’m an almighty pain but if you support all that The BBP have achieved and want to see them do what they do best then please sign the below petition. It’s very easy and it’s free, just click on the link.

They didn’t change the goal posts, they built her to run and that’s what she should be doing. They only want what was agreed to. Please get behind the team and sign the petition. There wouldn’t be anything to argue about if it wasn’t for them.
Thank you and enjoy your bank holiday (after you’ve taken a minute to sign. :D )

Cancelled my cottage in Bute for the summer - the situation forced upon us is an utter disgrace.

You will be missed. Being summer the drive to Kingarth would have been ice free. The Isle becomes a UK summer holiday and a chance to see the sites that were missed last August and June and January.
